Website and feedback
We use PostHog in the United States to receive website feedback. Submitting feedback sends your message, the displayed question, page, time, source, event identifier and a separate identifier for each submission. Please leave out sensitive information and other people’s personal details.
The website does not send install-command copy events. Browser storage remembers your palette and any previous analytics choice. Obsolete website analytics identifiers are removed from browser storage; previously received events remain stored separately. Website feedback and app diagnostics are independent.
Our hosting provider, exe.dev, receives IP addresses and request information to deliver the website and downloads. Our server also keeps access and error logs.
PostHog discards IP addresses from newly stored events, with geographic enrichment disabled. It receives network connections; IP suppression does not cover infrastructure logs or historical events.
Optional app diagnostics
App analytics starts off. Enabling diagnostics sends PostHog a random installation identifier, app/platform information, resource measurements, operation durations and counts, and failure and interaction counts. These measure performance and reliability. Disable diagnostics in Settings to stop future collection and clear pending events and the local identifier. Previously received events remain stored separately.
Your content
The extension sends captured pages, documents and notes directly to your chosen BigBrain endpoint, normally running on your computer. AI services you connect receive the content needed for the features you use.
Retention and requests
PostHog’s free plan provides a one-year event query window. That window is not a guarantee of physical erasure, including backups. Clearing local identifiers leaves previously received events in PostHog.
For a question about stored feedback, include its approximate submission time and enough context to locate it. Avoid sending additional sensitive information. Requests require locating the relevant records and assessing the available processing controls.
