Get the extension
Clips the page you're on into your vault's inbox as clean markdown — one click. Version 0.9.4, built straight from source; it runs ahead of whatever the stores show.
Chrome · Edge · Brave · Arc
Download bigbrain-chrome-0.9.4.zip
- Unzip it. Chrome installs a folder, not the zip.
- Open
chrome://extensionsand switch on Developer mode (top right). - Load unpacked → choose the unzipped folder.
To update, unzip the new build over the old folder and press ↻ on the extension's card.
The genuine build shows the id ddnflabpbjfcakilfjmbinhblgbmckpb on that card.
Firefox · Zen · Developer Edition
Download send_to_bigbrain-0.9.4-unsigned.xpi
Release Firefox requires every add-on to be signed by Mozilla, and enforces that even with signature checks off — a signed build is coming. Until then, either:
- Any Firefox:
about:debugging→ This Firefox → Load Temporary Add-on → pick the file. Works everywhere; gone when the browser restarts. - Zen, Developer Edition, Nightly: open
about:addons→ the gear menu (top right) → Install Add-on From File… → pick the file. It stays installed. If the browser calls it corrupt or unverified, that build ships with signature checks on — openabout:config, setxpinstall.signatures.requiredtofalse, and install it again.
That same “corrupt” message on release Firefox is about the missing signature, not a damaged download.
Then pair it
- In BigBrain: settings → integrations → PAIR A BROWSER. A code appears — ten minutes, one use.
- In the extension's options (right-click its toolbar button → Options): leave the address at
http://127.0.0.1:4748, enter the code, Connect.
The extension sends each clipped page to the BigBrain running on this machine, at 127.0.0.1,
and to nothing else. Pair each browser once; BigBrain's integrations card lists every browser that has, and REVOKE there is disconnect.
